The US and Iran each put forward five conditions, and ceasefire and nuclear negotiations continue to be a stalemate.

The closed-door negotiations between the United States and Iran over a ceasefire and nuclear issue remain deadlocked.

Xinhua News Agency quoted Iran's Fars News Agency on Sunday (May 17) as saying that the United States put forward five conditions in response to Iran's proposal, including not paying war reparations to Iran, demanding that 400 kilograms of enriched uranium be handed over to the United States, allowing Iran to keep only one nuclear facility in operation, refusing to unfreeze Iranian assets, and requiring all ceasefires on all fronts to be on the premise of negotiations.

The report states that even if the conditions set by the US are met, the related military threats from the US and Israel may still persist.

The report quoted analysts as saying that the US proposal is not aimed at fundamentally resolving the dispute, but rather at achieving through negotiations the goals it failed to achieve in military operations.

The report also stated that Iran put forward five preconditions for "building mutual trust," including a complete cessation of conflict (especially in the Lebanon area), lifting sanctions against Iran, unfreezing Iranian assets, compensating for war losses, and recognizing Iran's sovereignty in matters related to the Strait of Hormuz.
