Trump warns Iran time is running out of time (Media: US and Israeli leaders speak)
US President Trump warned Iran that "time is running out" and that if it does not seize the opportunity, it may "lose everything".
On Sunday (May 17), Trump wrote on Truth Social: "Iran has very little time left. They had better make a deal quickly or they will lose everything! Seize the opportunity!"
Multiple media outlets reported that Trump spoke by phone earlier that day with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu about the situation in Iran and discussed the possibility of resuming military action against Iran.
The U.S. news website Axios, citing two U.S. officials, reported on Sunday that Trump is expected to meet with senior national security advisors in the White House Situation Room on the 19th to discuss options for renewed military action against Iran.
On the same day, Israel's public broadcaster reported that a senior Israeli official revealed that Netanyahu and Trump spoke for about half an hour, primarily discussing the possibility of resuming military strikes against Iran. The official stated that if the US resumes military action against Iran, a joint airstrike by Israel and the US is expected.
